The Belgrade Security Conference 2024, titled “In defense of Humanity”, held from 18th to 20th of November, gathered current students and alumni of the MA program Peace, Security, and Development at the Faculty of Political Science, where they had an opportunity to exchange experience, opinions and ideas about current relevant topics related to the field of international relations. The Centre for International Security is focused on creating and maintaining the Alumni network of students that are future leaders in areas of national and international affairs, among others.
The Belgrade Security Conference featured over 20 panels, bringing together more than 80 speakers from various fields of international relations to discuss the complex challenges we face today. Topics included geostrategic competition, the future of the EU, the fight for democracy, cybersecurity, energy dependency, combating organized crime, disinformation, and malign influences.
With over 500 participants, the conference provided a unique opportunity for attendees to gain insights from experts on diverse issues, ranging from the situation in the Western Balkans to developments on the global geopolitical stage. Participants also actively engaged in Q&A sessions, fostering dynamic discussions and exchanging perspectives on these pressing topics.
