Professors and researchers from the Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade, visited the University of Cincinnati from September 29 to October 3, 2025, where they delivered a series of invited guest lectures and took part in numerous academic and professional activities. The visit was carried out within the framework of the project “Creating an Interdisciplinary Approach to Studying Cyberspace,” supported by the University Partnership Program of the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade.

The FPN delegation included Dr Miloš Vukelić (project leader), Dr Dragan R. Simić, Dr Milan Krstić, Mr Dragan Živojinović, MA Goran Sandić, and Dr Goran Paunović from the National CERT in the Information Security of the Republic of Serbia. Among the delegation members was also Assist. Prof. Dr Tijana Recevic Krstic, researcher at the Centre for International Security, who gave a guest lecture titled “Challenges to Democratic Governance of the Security Sector: Reflections on the Current Political Crisis in Serbia.”

The hosts of the delegation were Dr Richard Harknett, Director of the Centre for Cyber Strategy and Policy (CCSP), and Dr Greg Winger, with the support of faculty and associates from the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) at the University of Cincinnati.

A particularly important part of the program was the visit to the Ohio Cyber Research Institute (OCRI) within the Digital Futures Center of the University of Cincinnati. The FPN researchers had the opportunity to learn about the institutional development of OCRI, its daily operational activities, cyber threat response exercises, cyber games, and models of cooperation with local governments in protecting critical infrastructure.
