According to the latest 2025 categorisation of academic journals published by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, the Journal of Regional Security has ranked first among domestic academic journals in the field of law and political science. For the third consecutive year, this academic journal — jointly published by the Faculty of Political Science and the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy — has been placed in the prestigious M23 category.
Since 2019, the Journal of Regional Security has also been indexed in the international Scopus database, in the categories of Political Science and International Relations and Security Studies.
